The Pleading for the Bleeding

These are comments from the Poets & Writers @ Darkness.com

by Kelly, a writer,

Quote:
Madelynn and Artie - I will never be the same again

I want to meet Jack, lol. What a lovely way to die. And, Artie, you make me swoon.

@WordSlinger -

" Hypnosis hits my attraction then Im grabbed

I think of the thing that talks in the back of my head

Sliding slicky creating the dread in my bed

Sunken Soul"

Your poetry creates visions in the front of my head! I really like the line I highlighted.

@angel -

"I now long for death,
So death came near,
And so came the silence for me to hear,
Forever into the darkness do I see,
Forever shall the eternal silence be..."

Vampire's lament? That's beautiful.

@rygar -

"Spawned from on high, and refusing to bow,

Evil begets evil, or so says the book,

On a throne of my own, look at me now,

The twinkle in the eye from an evil mans look."

I love this stanza in particular, rygar. We were discussing Lucifer in another thread on this forum which who I'm reminded of here.

Fantastic.

@dano -

"captivated
the illusion of death
granted through immortality"

This stanza is really interesting. The illusion of death versus the illusion of life. I'm still pondering your words. I think there is much truth in that statement as especially regards a certain kind of vampire.

Very nice

I am overwhelmed with your talent. You all are brilliant. Thank you for bringing some much needed joy into my life.

I am sincere when I say, I am almost in tears with joy!

Your poetry resonates profoundly with me, I struggle a bit with the coloured text on the background, but the ebb and flow. The pace and violence of the language. Utterly spellbinding.

I would be honoured if you could stop by my poetry threads. One is called Vicereines Entrails and one is 'See me bare'.

Utterly spellbound

RE: The Poets of Blood' Blood Fest 2010

I drink the blood of the universe so that my soul
may be one with the Poets Of Blood. I drool and drip,
and smear it all over my hot naked body only for evil
to lick me clean, as clean as she can get me down
to the bone, to the marrow, to the evil she has spawned
within my thoughts. Yes, she is evil.

RE: The Poets of Blood' Blood Fest 2010

I've always had the void in my soul that only the darkness can assuage. I so appreciate the POB's coming here (forum.darkness) and feeding my starving soul.

It's really the dark that I want, that I crave.

Horror movies, most dark movies miss the mark, in my opinion. They have no depth generally and are only about visual effects such as organs being ripped out and flung upon the wall. Blood everyhwere. That's not quite it, is it? There is no beauty or passion. If I want to see gore, I can watch a live birth video. If I want a giggle, I can watch, Humanoids from the Deep.

Thank you from my heart.

kelly i agree... while i consider myself a horror junkie sometimes i just prefer more subtlety... creepy music... a shadow moving and that sort of thing... now dont get me wrong sometimes i really enjoy watching someone get their brains bashed in... but not all of the time...

dark/horror or gothic base poetry is cerebral... casting images with words and forcing the reader to use thier own imagination... words get into the readers head and makes them think... i have found that there are few places that more scary than inside of my own mind... i think all of the poets of blood realize this and that is why this group of people have been brought together as a 'family'

I want to take a moment and thank you and your fellows for joining the forum. I suppose I must not be the only one who feels a desire to dust off the old nib and dip into some art. Its been some time since I've seen Dark Whispers so active, and I've got to say it seems like its the influx of talent you guys have brought to the site.

Thanks, and I'll have to write a few more pieces for you to enjoy, as well as schedule some time to enjoy more than the snippets I've seen of your wonderful coterie.

Sincerely,
Amadeo Darkened

Yay. I cannot wait!

As an aside, I thanked Sire (Mr. Darkness) for inviting the Poets of Blood. I wanted him to know I was grateful.

You all have inspired me to continue writing short stories and to pick up poetry again.

My husband is coming home tomorrow for a week or so and I may not be posting much, but I'll be writing in my mind and jotting down ideas, hopefully dark ones wink

Wagon, shmagon......Care for a cigarette?

I was bored on this eve you see,
And had to sneak in and see
What you all were spewing.

To my desired surprise,
And before my drooling eyes
There was this excruciating emulsion of beauty!

Bravo, you Poets of Blood,
I fell over with a thud
This thread horrifically completes me.

RE: The Poets of Blood' Blood Fest 2010

This is so awesome! The amount of hard work each of you have put into this. I am on Darkness as Charlie Johnson, another pen name of mine when Charlie23 is not working out....

After reading this thread I think I will go add a poem written under Charlie Johnson on the Darkness Site...

I tried to sign up here: http://www.fairiesvampires.com/forum/categories/music-poetry-and-stories/listForCategory

First, I didn't get anywhere on the registration page. It kept me telling me my password was wrong. So, I went the second route. Nothing is happening yet. I signed up as KellyRedhead.

Arghh!

How to Blood Bot your OP page for the Fest, and more..

We want to share something with you, as a tool so the www can find
the Poets of Blood.

Add this example to your bio if you are a Poet of Blood

Fathermadness(your username), Poets of Blood, Bleed for a Cause, Bloodfest 2010

After that is done
Copy and paste what you just created, and go here

http://www.google.com/addurl/?continue=/addurl

and paste it in the comments section, along with your OP, page address,
folle the rest of the google, promps, and in a few days, you can go to google,
and type in your name, and Poets of Blood, and your page should be found, if not, keep up the process, until that Robot obeys.

More on this posted soon in the post, so check back some other free time.

PS, thanks to those that played last night, you kicked donkeys..

POB

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.
