    Poem Commentary

*It's hard getting over the one you were really close to & it's harder to move on without their guidance.*

    Fully Ripped in Half

    Sunlight once shined brightly,

Now every ounce of light is blocked out.

Comfort of a powerful warm love,

Forever lost in a fieriness cold wind.

Heart felt laughter and joyous songs,

Everything now quickly hushed by sorrow.

Late night whispers of a fantasized life,

One deadly bullet shatters it all.

    Brother and sister bounded together,

    Both fiercely separated by death.

One last look of our sibling bond,

Losing our other half…causes endless nights of tears.

Lost sight of love and life,

Forgetting to live or being there for the family.

Self hatred for the other being gone,

Alcohol and drugs hide all the misery.

    Nightmares of disbelief,

Facing reality years later...sober screams of lost and pain.

    Memories are all that’s left,

The painful lost is forever etched in the heart.

Knowing it should never have happened…

God please take care of my brother.
