God's gift

God's gift

Flecks of luscious pink and golden orange masquerade the evening sky, glowing brilliantly against the dark clouds rolling in the distance. God’s great hand bears a gift to the weary on-lookers, the gift of an open heart and mind, take each breath as if it where your last, make each heartbeat count, let go of the hurt and strife, for the hand that bears the gift is visible only  to those who are looking.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
