    Goodbye My Love

i poured my heart into you
    gave everything i have
    yet you still left
    you left me behind
    found a new love
when i begged you to stay

    my love still grows strong
    grows more every single day
you tell me that you still want me
yet i dont think thats the truth
im so tired of being used
    we each want different things
    thats the proof

    baby, im tired
i think its time to let go
    my life is sliding by
    ive given you everything
in return you give me heartache and pain
    my heart will always break
for the love that might have been

yet baby you've made your choice
    you walked away
now that your love is gone
    you try at me again
i think its time to say goodbye
time for me to live again

the child i lost will always tie me to you
    my heart will always wonder...
    what might have been

in a drunken stupour one night
you claimed your love for me
then took in back in the light of day
im in a state of confusion
    now you dance around love
like its a beast ready to bite
i no longer know what to say

i wish once you would just see
    see what you left behind
no more tears will i cry for you
no more will i wonder why
    living between two worlds
things cant go on this way

    goodbye my love
    goodbye
    goodbye

Love has many facets, like a diamond it is beautiful. But it is also one of the hardest minerals on earth. So don't be decieved by it's beauty, remember it's hardness. I know love can be painful and cold. But love is plentiful and it's afterglow will replace that which you've lost....

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
