When i was younger,
the world was my playground.
I never took it seriously till i found,
that you get caught if your out after dark,
you can run away and still get chased.
You can hide in a bush and still get found,
you can do some drugs and still be bound for jail.
But don't feel lucky if your parents post bail.
You'll learn to hate yourself,
like I did.


You can look in the mirror and say your cool,
but you know it's just a show.
You can fight someone and say your tough,
but you know that you're hiding fear.
You can try to start over, but i want you to understand,
that you can't undo the pain you caused.
you can't undo the loves you lost.
But you can, change your ways and say to hell with this place.


I may not be the best to be preatchin,
But man i've been there.
Take it from me it hurts.
Makes you want to stop breathin.
You can hate the world and you can hate me,
But what ever you do, don't turn your back on yourself,
or the only one that can truly set you free.


I found my home in the arms of my savior,
He forgives, he really does understand,
all the shit we all go through.
It's amazin how we all want to be the same,
we are afraid to speak his name.
But I learned that if you don't,
he'll just fade away.
If you forget to care,
it don't matter, he'll still be there.


don't just run to him when times are rough,
you have to accept the things that come.
you can go to curch so you can pray,
but i see you all everyday.
the drugs the sex the boose,
it's all bull.
it's sin in every way.
But you can't keep going on like this,
He won't forgive you then.
Cuz there is no such thing as a half way christian.
