    Heart

I look at him and wonder. Why me? Does he know? I often think to myself I don't know what I did to deserve him. I would offer him the sun and the moon just to make him happy. He is my life and love. Does he know all this? At last I don't think he does. I am to scare to say or show. Scared to know if he feels the same. My heart has been broken over and over. I just don't ever wish this to be over. Is this a dream? Is this for real? I love him more then he'll know. My heart is pure. My heart is scare. My heart is something he will always have.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
