Hero

Have you ever seen a hero die?

Lying awake, thinking, half dreaming
Paralized by silent thounder and lightning

ever seen a childs eyes when a hero dies?

It's like the sun setting in the morning
you see pain and brutal understaning

Lost in a moment in time
lost when my hero died

I had no one to catch me
my world turned upside down

once I felt peace,
now as I fall from the sky
to this great earth I relize
this is what it feels like when a hero dies

Hero truned Villian by whos hand I don't know
my heart stopped frozen the day my hero died

Thank you so much. :)

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
