    Hurt

    People hurting all around
vicious gossip and rumors throughout the town
    Whispers, mutters, fires …
    Strength, weakness, lost desires.
A time to remember, a time to heal
Emptiness, darkness, loss of all love
    Touch and feel.
    Caring, sharing, losing, and loving
    Isolation, brokenness, coldness, pain
with gossip and rumors all around what
    really is gained?
Hearts broken, minds bruised, spirits crushed
People thinking they are grown when they’re not,
So quick too grow up, I can’t figure out why the rush.
Perception is in the eyes of the beholder
Where opinions are formed, lives are persecuted
we need to come together and be there for one another
we need to reach our a hand or lend a strong shoulder
There’s too much pain in the eyes of the weak
No place to go, nowhere to turn, no one to speak
What’s happened to this world and why all the hate?
People need to wake up! Before it’s too late …
What are you going to tell our Lord when you stand
    Before Him on judgment day?
That it was his fault, her fault that made you that way.
There’s a war going on; people losing their life for you and
this country. They don’t know you or me
but they are willing to die so we can remain free.
What can I do? What can I say?
Of all sad words of tongue and pen,
    The saddest are these,
“It might have been … ”
We cannot foresee the future or know
Ones destiny. Whether we’re rich, poor
    Healthy or ill,
There’s but only one way to know and
    That’s the Lord’s Will.

    Well written.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
