    Many times I've heard the phrase
    You can't have your cake and eat it too

    I believe in layman's terms that means
    What you gonna do

    Are You

    Gonna turn my heart to stone
    Take my love and leave you alone

    I need to know
    What you expect from me

    I need to know
    What you expect me to be

    The agony of not understanding what we share
    Is a little more than I choose to bear

    I asked you before
    Where I fit in your life

    I asked you before
    Will I ever be your wife

    Are you gonna play with my feelings
    Cause me to not care

    Turn my heart ot stone
    Take my love and leave you alone

    simple yet effective to the point feeling of melancholy and doubt comes through, as i read it If you get some sort of feeling with a piece then it must be good at least thats my view so WELL DONE
