    Poem Commentary

    Written back June 2002,

    If You Would Only

If you would only stare into my eyes,

You would see there is no lies,

    Only the remaining pain,

From those in the past who was so vain.

If you would only look into my heart,

You would see the love that I have from the start,

Something very few have ever felt,

But, like a deck of cards depends on what is dealt.

If you would only embrace me with a hug,

You would feel so warm and snug,

I would always give you a safe and secure embrace,

Just to see the smile on your face,

If you would only touch your lips to mine,

You would feel our souls start to intertwine,

    Our hearts beating as one,

As we together, stand as bright as the noon sun,

If you would only love me,

    You would finally see,

That I would be the last man you ll ever need,

As our love life grows and succeeds.
