    If

If your love was a poem.
    A million words couldn’t define.

The way you steal my heart away,
With your words each and every time.

If your love was a song,
    That song could never end.

I’d never run out of words to say,
About my love and my best friend.

If your love was a picture,
I’d keep it frozen in time.

So I would never be without,
And could always call you mine.

If your love was the rain,
Then underneath it I would stand.

Feel it hit every part of me,
And catch it with my hand.

If your love was a star,
You’d be all I would see.

I’d cast myself into the heavens,
To shine beside you all eternity.

If your love was a painting,
    I’d paint every stroke blue.

Because that is how I feel,
When I go a day without you.

Your love means everything to me.
    Without you I’m not right.

It would be like having to live,
In a world without my light.

I love you for who you are,
I love you for what you do.

I miss you each and everyday,
And all my thoughts are you.
