I'll Cry You A River......
I'll cry you a river if that's what you plea,
I'll cry you a river to hide the sorrows in me.
I'll cry you a river to see you smile,
I'll cry you a riverwith the last tear from my eye.
I'll cry you a river for your pain to end,
I'll cry you a river if you need a friend.
A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.
