Ill Drink To That

Ill Drink To That

My heart buckles under my feet without you,

Seeing couples holding hands; Breaks my heart in two,

The thoughts of loneliness enteragating me,

Like hell breaking loose,

While my angels flee,

The feeling of darkness,

Now taking over,

All so mysterious,

Am i still sober?

My life seems so empty,

Without you beside me,

Can i walk through time,

Remembering you while you remembered me?

Mabey ill drink some more,

Drink till the sun rises,

Ill drink to that; for the time that itll buy us.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
