in a dream

In a dream a world beyond,I walked along  a shining lake  in early morn
a face that turned my way, on that summer day,somehow I could not resist
as i drew closer  a gentle kiss, we both smiled and walked along the shore
and talked and talked and kissed once more,

I said to myself this cant be real, but my heart was telling me how to feel
from my head to my toes  i was completely numb, i could not believe I had found someone, her eyes, her face, her hair,  her hands and toes  her beautiful lips
and turned up nose,

I took her hand and held on tight  to me she was oh so right, I found a love
that summer day,  a soulmate!  i must say, the I heard in the distance, thunder
booms, and I found myself  back in my room,  alone in my bed, a dream to real
and now the heartache  that I feel, for I was in a dream that seemed so real
but ill search and search till I find that special girl and truly mine.

In a dream  I found true love  in a moment of time.
