    JOOK JOINT

    i remember the days when you didn't have to spend you whole check to go have a drink, didn't have to wear name brand threads or all that mary kay paint. wasn't a such thang as r.s.v.p and the parking lot was frist come first serve and always free. you didn't have to compete with the jones in order to fit in and after 2 drinks everyone in the place was your best friend if i stepped on your shoes i just said I'm sorry man apology was accepted and we kept partying wasn't such a thang as a dead dance floor so who in the hell say that they don't dance no mo we boogied up and boogied down all nite through every song the dj spun was our favorite tune drinks were called set ups back then not fancy names and if you b.y.o.b the owner didn't complain...yea those were the good ole days where you left you worries at the door,forgot about life's problems and enjoyed the flow but what happened to the good ole fashion jook joints were did they go same price to get in even if they were having a show. home cooked bird on the grill out on the back porch coldest beers in town trust me i know wasn't much to get in wudda even paid mo your time was always well spent after you entered the dooh my oh my i miss the ole fashion jook joints so could someone please tell me where did all the jook joints go!!!!
