    Laden with sorrow and regrets

    You laughed in my face
    Lied through your teeth
    Emotions lost, like love
    You didn't want me
    Forgotten as a soul
    Almost left for dead
    We stopped in our tracks
    Fearing what lie ahead
    The unknown is scary
    We knew only pain
    Hearts held high
    Heads lowered in shame
    We lost what we found
    Couldn't cherish the truth
    Lies of a future
    And promising "I do's"
    It's all in the past
And i'm stuck in a fog
    When loved ones leave
    Our hearts... they fall
I'll leave behind my fallen heart
For you to one day find
But as of now just think of me
Out of sight, out of mind

love the ending :). this has a good flow to it, good write :)

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
