    Last Act Thief

I want to see the last act
    See the finale fact
Turn the page 'till the rage
Is turned back to the black
    Where it came from -

    I love not this world's
    Opinions, dominions,
    The manipulations
    They use to pamper
    Their fame some

Shall I pray for a nightmare?
    Pray for a nightmare?
While the beating goes on and on
    Cheating goes on and on
Bleeding goes on and on -
On and on, on and on, on and on...

My hero's a thief in the night.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
