To let go

To let go

To let go

It was a strong stormy current,
A heartless river dragging me away!

First I fought against it
But in a short time I realized
That in order to win, I had to lose...

And so I let myself go
Pushing subliminally in an angle
Until arriving at the other margin a mile later.
Suddenly I grabbed  a broken tree branch
Pushing myself to safety.

I sat there at a rock
Hearing the impartial waters
And when I finally opened my eyes
I smiled and thanked the heavens
For such moment of bliss!

Great philosophy for life. You not only arrived safely but what a ride! Nicely though out and flows well.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
