    LIBERATED

    I
I want an appeal for my life

For me to live my life

    because its like my life

    Aint’t got no breathing space

Though I walk with the bones on

The spirit in my life is in thralldom

    II
I want to live my life

But “what if ”the question keep ringing back

If the bones did die down

    And the spirit is manumitted

Then it all makes no difference.

    III
    My appeal ,my life ,Hey!Hey!Hey!

    Who will give me freedom?

    Make my bones stand tall;

nd’ emancipate my spirit for ever.

    IV
    Journeying down the hallway

    After the preacher’s preaching

Letting the sun illuminate my spirit

    My appeal was granted

    My bones came to life

My life became a free born

Just by acknowledging him (JESUS) in my life.

    Indeed! Free at last!!!!!!!!

I could feel the freedom ring true. Congratulations. And thank you for sharing. -Alan

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
