LITTLE DID I KNOW THAT I WAS THE DOUGH

NOT LIKE THE TEAPOT WITH THE HANDLE
ALONG WITH IT'S SPOUT
IT WAS MY TEARS THAT WAS SHUT-UP IN A BOTTLE
THAT THE LORD POURED OUT!

I HEARD HIM WHEN HE SAID "EVERY TEAR YOU EVER SHED,
CHILD I SEE" AND I KNOW IT WAS THE LORD,
CAUSE IN LIFE'S TOUGHEST  TIMES,
HE WAS ALWAYS
WITH ME.

LIKE THE POTTER WITH THE CLAY
LIKE THE GAMES I USED TO PLAY
LITTLE DID I KNOW THAT I WAS THE DOUGH
FOR WE ARE ALL THE WORK OF HIS HANDS

JESUS IS THE PATTY- CAKE PATTY -CAKE
BAKER MAN. SOMETIMES IT SEEMS LIKE WE ARE PRESSED
AND PRESSED, THEN PLACED IN AN OVEN
IN A BIG OLD PAN

THIS IS WHERE WE ARE TESTED BY THE FIRE
WE LEARN HOW TO BELIEVE GOD'S WORD
AND WE LEARN HOW TO STAND

WE DON'T HAVE TO WORRY CAUSE HE'S GOT
THE WHOLE SITURATION WELL IN HAND
JESUS IS THE PATTY-CAKE
PATTY- CAKE BAKER MAN!

Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) is a Prophet to me, who showed us way ... the path to heaven. an entire chapter of the Holy Quran is about Mariyam ( Mary ) the mother of Christ, thank you for the poem, I enjoyed reading it. a 10 from me.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
