Lonely Hill

Lonely Hill

Feels like years now that I’ve been alone,

No sure how much longer I can do it on my own.

You may have been right, you might’ve been wrong,

Guess it’s the same old story and the same sad song.

Been by myself waiting to see the light,

Why do I have to be alone tonight?

Getting older each and every new day,

Yes, I forgot to express what I meant to say.

I’m losing my love and losing my will,

I’m trying to climb this lonely hill.

Felt like I won, but now I’m sure I lost,

My mind, my love, and my life the cost.

Yes it’s been years now that I’ve been alone,

Wishing I didn’t have to do it on my own.

Wish you were wrong, and I was right,

Even if just for one night.

Why do I care, and why don’t you?

Guess you really didn’t want to see it through.

But that’s okay, I understand,

Cause I’m not made for just any man.

Yea I’m by myself again tonight,

With no end to this hill in my sight.
