    Lost Child

I felt you grown in my stomach
I felt the loved I had for you even though you were a pea
I felt the happiness that I would enjoy when I held you in my arms
but I felt your life drain away from me.
I felt the hurt of losing you and not being able to ever see what you would become.
I saw the blood run from within and knew you slipped away from me
I cried out because I wanted to be your loving mother
I cried out because I knew you would love me back
I cried out because I knew God had too his Angel back from me.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
