    Lost Love

Sitting here watching the rain wash another lonely night away
wondering what went wrong that cold and rainy night
that night when a stranger crossed that yellow line
and the twinkle in your eyes was laid to rest forever
    now i pray
Maybe tonight or maybe in a week you'll be in my arms as you fall asleep Maybe today or maybe in a year i'll make it through the night without sheding a tear.
I look at the little girl who has your eyes
I know she tries to understand why your never coming home again
but each time i try to explain i see the hurt in those eyes
and all i can do is cry
now i'm looking down at where you were laid to rest and all i can say is
Good bye my lost love Good bye
