I could of been the deadbeat dad

and left u suffering and sad

I could of said hell no.....when u left the kids

But show my maturity is what I did

I could of left and been on my own

But I chose to give our kids a home

I wonder where they'd be

Had they left with you instead of staying with me.

I've watched them grow from babes to teens

Not being here u cant know what that means

Watching them grow,seeing them learn

That's the only reward I wish to earn

Sometimes it's been rough

Raising kids is hard

But I couldn't give up the Daddy card.

Hearing over the phone….it can't be the same

You show up for some birthdays and holidays with gifts
