Making Love

Making Love

Like the soft residue after a morning rain
Gently caressing my face, my body, my soul
Looking into eyes that shine
A light that glows
And a smile tht begins the dawn of a new day
A feeling or sheer joy
At the thought
The touch
the very idea
Of being ever so close to you
Of knowing that you really do exist
Gently, ever so gently your lips touch mine
A kiss that lingers - long after lips have parted
A kiss
In relentless pursuit of a waiting heart
The onslaught is sudden
With barriers no more - he takes home his prize
Their ecstasy exceeded only
By the rebirth unto each other and a
Renewed tempo to the second beat of their hearts

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
