    measuring cups(poor love)

she wants me to tip over, poor my heart out

    into this measuring cup...,

shake it up, shift it so that its even with the brim....

    set it on the counter....

get eye level with it and tell her how much...,

    ...so i humored her...

leaned over as far as i could....

love began trickling out, i guess she thought it should be flowing....

and started tapping me on the back like i was a bottle of Heinz Ketchup....

until gulps started spitting out and splattering all over the counter...,

she was excited about how much love came out, at how fast it came

not knowing that if she just let it trickle

it would have amounted to the same

    she likes the rush tho…,

    it's cute

I felt the rush as well

And I could've filled an ocean with my joy

Boy loves girl, girl loves boy…,

    …More

As my love continued to poor

    measuring cup after measuring cup

she measured to hers and mines just didn't measure up

my 1 cup to her two

and she made sure that I knew

    that she love me more

as my love continued to poor…,

Very cute, always thought it impossible to measure love Nice rhyming piece written with a lot of humor

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
