    Meeting Under the Moon

As I watch you walking towards me in the moonlight
I anticipate the feeling of your arms around me
I watch as the moonlight touches your smile and
wonder at the sparkle in your eyes
We only have a little while to enjoy the moonlight
To treasure these moments and make the most
of these few hours while the world sleeps

Under the moonlight we hold each other and listen
to the night creatures and the beating of our own hearts
Neither one of us speaks for fear we will be found
Our lips meet and the joy of our love is confirmed by the
    tears on our cheeks
The moonlight shines down on the reunion of our bodies

These meetings under the moonlight are all we have for now
The world does not understand a love so strong and pure
We go about our own lives during the day while anticipating
    our reunion at night
As I watch you walk away from me in the moonlight
I anticipate the next time I will feel your arms around me
One day I hope I can see the sunlight touch your smile
