There's too much immorality in America today,
dirty deeds and too much greed, didn't used to be that way,
power brokers lie and cheat to line their pockets green,
while boasting of morality, it's really quite obscene,
attorneys care more for money, than Justice in their deed,
where Justice used to live, greed has sown its evil seed,
The corporate rich get richer, the working-class their slave,
they gloat in riches and luxury, none will they take to the grave,
they go to church or synagogue to repent their evil ways,
then practice greed and selfishness, their souls will not be saved,
the love of money seems to be the most important thing today,
Truth and Justice, fair and balanced?, if you can afford to pay!.
To protect and serve the cops all say,
they didn't mean to blow him away,
he had no gun but tried to run, the threat was clear they say,
murder falsely justified, this is what our taxes pay!
we're losing our rights, day by day,
besides those already taken away,
the Bill of Rights is next they say,
as the Constitution withers away!
Will America find its way again?
Among the greed and strife and sin,
all Americans must look within,
We the People can make it happen again!
