Morning Star

Morning Star

In the midnight hours forlorn
as gray as mist in shadows form
I see a shape intrude the night
only to wink out in the light
the light of morning star reborn
in heart and mind and eyes
I know his name
I know his meaning
the star does ever shine.

will you deny thy masters guiding
will you deny the shapes forlorn
will you deny the love that's guiding
me to seek the truth once more.

I am child born of darkness
I am child born of light
I am child born of father
mother lead me to his door

cast out lies
and cast out mourning
cast out fear that haunts thy breast
cast out hate that lingers on
against thy self, against thy best

father lead me to the twinkling
glory I forgot that day, when
once upon a dusky morning
the horrid waters washed away
my sole my heart
the life I knew of old
in you I am reborn in glory
in faith I rise again

Great poem and many hidden doors to the portals in your mind. That is, for those that see beyond the norm. Keep up the great work.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
