Poem Commentary

This poem is dedicated to my grandma.

My Angel

I can't see you, but I know you're there
I can't hear you, but I feel your stare.

Rolling down tears, wash away fears
because I know there was love during your living years.

The glare in my eyes, the drops on my pillow now dry,
because I know you'll always live in my mind.

I can't see you, but I know you're there
in the morning, in the night, and everywhere.

As I look at the sky, I can see your light shine
you're one of a kind, angel of mine.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
