    My Dreams Yet To Come

As I lay my head down and start to sleep,
I dream of things I hope will be.
    I dream of blue sky,
    And lots of happiness,
    Surrounded by kids,
    And having a great job.
    I dream of wedding bells,
    That start to chime.
    A long white flowing dress,
And a man in a tux.
A little flower girl walking down the isle.
ALL of my best friends walking before me.
I look to my right and smile at my Dad.
    As the sunsets behind me,
I feel the sand beneath my feet.
This is it today is the day.
    It is time to walk,
The rest of the way down the isle.
    It is my wedding day.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
