    MY FATHER

    MY FATHER

WHY DID YOU LEAVE US DAD?

    WHY DID YOU FOLD?

DID`NT YOU REALIZE THAT ONE DAY

YOUR SON`S AND DAUGHTER`S WOULD BE WORTH MORE THEN PLATINUM OR TRIPLE

    GOLD.

WHY DID`NT YOU SUPPORT HER , SHE

LAYED DOWN NEXT TO YOU , WHY DID SHE

HAVE TO GO TO COURT BECAUSE YOU SAID

    THAT YOU WHERE THREW.

WHY ARE YOU NOW HIDING , WHAT DID

WE DO ,WE NEVER ASKED TO COME HERE,

    THATS BETWEEN GOD AND YOU.

WHERE OLDER NOW, AND FINALLY AT PEACE

    WITH YOU.

BUT THERES JUST ONE THING , I PROMISED MY SONS , ILL NEVER TAKE THEM THREW THE PAIN THAT I SUFFERED

    AS YOUR ONLY SON.

    WRITTEN BY A PROUD FATHER.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
