    My good luck charm

You really are my good luck charm
Were I told ahead of date
    Even by a soothsayer, whosoever
Regardless of the solemnity of the message
    The sincerity of the voice
    The eloquence of the words

    That my treasured love
Safely hidden far and far away
    Deep and deep down
    Safe and safe in
The secluded chambers of my heart
    Hidden from common glare

Could be stolen, yet not to cause my care
And hardly troubling me to care
By nothing safe a mere mortal woman
    Bristling with feminine beauty
    Speaking with untrammelled courtesy
    Walking in tretentious gentility

    Smiling with seductious infection
    Sizzling with every attraction
I would have browned an objection
I doubt this charm shall face any rejection
She is the woman in my future projection
And I will readily give her all my affection

SHE IS MY GOOD LUCK CHARM

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
