My goodbye

Poem Commentary

This may not be a poem to some people but, its the only way i could get my feeling out.

My goodbye

   You were always there
when I needed you
through the good times and the bad.
you whiped my tears and held me close
helping me get through my pain.

You taught me loads of things
growing up, I'll never forget.
how you let go of the seat, on my first bike
as I learned to ride with the training wheels.

I'll always remember celebrating halloween
getting dressed up and walking around town
having my picture taken before and after we leave.

or Thanksgiving, just house smeeling of turkey, stuffing
and homemade mashed potoes. Hearing stories from pappy
as we ate as a family.

or our favorite holiday, Christmas.
Watching nana smile as we opened our gifts
and of course taking our picture.
I never knew why she always took our pictures

now I think I know why
so even when she is gone, we can look back and remember
the good times we had those days.

You maybe gone in gods hands, but I will never forget anything.
the memories and the love you had for all of us.
We will always miss you and love you
Nana and pappy, and someday we will be back together
but until then.  I love you and
Goodbye:)

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
