Still afraid I sit, not moving, wishing this would just end
tho I know in my heart that there is something more here
His voice, his presence, feels so familiar
but why, what is it that I feel and why now?

He steps out of the darkness and into the candle light
My god what a beautiful and strong looking man is he
such a presence about him, I feel my heart start to beat faster
becoming confused at the feelings growing inside me

“Please do not be afraid my Queen, I will not harm you”
I see the love and tenderness in his eyes as he looks at me
“I do not understand”, I say, as I look away from his gaze
confused at this feeling of longing for him, to be in his arms

He steps closer, reaching his hand out to me
“Come my Queen, I shall explain everything”
I reach for him knowing not what to expect
But there is no turning back from him for I have offered my hand
