MY LOVE
Sweet memories of you...down through the years;
birthed in bright sunlight...watered with tears.
Now that you've gone...I wander and weep;
crying out loud...for the Keeper of Sheep
to shepherd me home...to be at your side
in His loving care...with my beautiful bride.
Once more together...never to part;
in our Master's embrace...close to His heart.
And so it is set...in eternity's stone...
we'll never more wander...or be alone!
Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
