    Poem Commentary

    I have finally found a good man. i always hoped there would be one for me, and finally he has come. i have never been happier.... i swear! i've never been treated better or loved more!!!!

    My New Love... Happiness Is Real

     Today i awake
    To the smile upon his face
    Staring at me with his big blue eyes
    Happy to see me finally arise
    He holds me close,
    Whispers in my ear;
    "Sweet love of mine
    You never have to fear.
    I shall never break your heart,
    Nor force tears to start.
    I will not let go,
    For I love you so."
    Happiness glistens in my eyes,
    for this man at my side.
    Love overflows my heart,
    Never to wash away or part.
    No more living in the past,
    Waiting for a lost cause.
    No more slitting of wrists,
    For pain from sharp claws.
    Overwhelmed with joy
    Now is my life.
    Smiles never ending,
    And love; no knives.

    Kind of like an edgy version of Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up". It's all good; the depth of feeling you experienced while writing it is happily obvious. 10 gold stars for you : )
