My Very First But Not Last Poem

As I sit in the halls of this monument dedicated to the educators who enrich the minds of the little people looking for direction or at least a signal of which way to turn. I watch as they form their clans lined up against the wall. Some sit around with no care in the world and damage everything insite and yet you think this is where I belong. Here with the little people. My desire for immediate satisfaction doesn't allow me to sit around and be fly or chillin or laugh..no to everyone's suprise my overwhelming thoughts of gaining ones truest pride ones truest joy I must relent myself from the distractions of the everyday little people.

Like you I started writing in school, I've been writing ever since. I really liked the way you presented your poem,I'm glad you had a teacher that was willing to go that extra mile for you. Well done. Rollerderby.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
