No place to run.

    No place to run.

You can see in my eyes, if you would just take a look.
Broken windows, fallen skies, baby, baby i'm hiding.
The light that followed me around, lately nowhere to be found.
You would think i know that your my place to run?
But after what happened, you could'nt be.
But i've been holding on so long,
Trying to make believe that nothing's wrong.
Not letting it show and saying there isn't anything i can do.
Sifting through shattered dreams, living in the in between.
You tell me baby, babe it's going to be allright.
When i'm lost, let down, disappointed and jerked around in this cold world.
You will always be by my side.
You tell me don't be afraid when i'm falling apart,
and don't hesitate you'll be right where i am.
You tell me, never to let you see me cry.
And to baby, baby let you hold me tight.
There's me, looking down at my shoes and the one smiling like the sun, that's you.

    What were you thinking?
I lay there dreaming, later all alone in my bed as if i were stupid, maybe careless.
So you were not everything that was supposed to come true.
Some words are best unsaid, and some love is not really love at all.
But little did i know, it would all happen with you.
I'll keep everything we shared with you, and that's enough, there's just us.
I'm not about to cry, it's to late for us to change, why try?
If i'm a loser, or just unlucky, so you're not everything.
Somewhere between then and now i looked away,
When you said we'll never change and if you think what might have been,
    You'll lose today.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
