    Now & Then

    05/08/07

I still think of you now and then
and I sit and wonder what could've been.
You were so into me not so long ago, as I was with you.
Could you still feel the same?
'Cause I know you've been thinking of me too.
Nothing has really changed between you and me, but do you ever wonder if we could've been meant to be?
You still mean the world to me, even though I felt so much hate the day you broke my heart.
My heart has forgiven you, and I don't feel as empty as I used to.
As I sit and wonder what could've been, do you ever wonder the same?
If we will never be again, we'll always have memories.
But I'll always wonder what could've been, and think of you now and then.

You start with a terrific meter and then just kind of lose it. The lines are a little long, and i would reconsider some of the line breaks. It is okay, but could be outstanding. Michelle

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
