    now you're gone

    I miss you so much,
    I can't stand the pain,
    I wish it would rain
    rain down on me and
    wash away the doubt
    and make me ok again
I still need to call you my friend

The promises we made to eachother
    were they all for nothing?
I thought that was what mace us strong
now i'm crying because I guess I was wrong.

A bond like ours is hard to find,
just like true love, it's one of a kind
    even though things have changed
in time, maybe we can come back around?
A different way and yet the same
Our love is strong enough to play the game.

Interesting poem. Me reading it today of all days is kinda interesting. Me and my boyfriend of two years broke up a month ago and I asked him to come over tonight. It might not be the same, but it just made me think!

Great poem I really like the part about in time you can come back around different yet the same. I believe that also and I understand where you are comming from with this poem.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
