Obsession: Ana

Obsession: Ana

Her Blue Dragonfly unraveled my bones

She’s light as sky, panics the stay of stones

She uncovered the defenseless frail

Made them sweet feathers without a trail

Ana, you form the true being beneath my skin:

So guaranteeing, the way of your sin.

Bones take the place of my wings

And to my skin your corpse clings

[Cannot you see? What Ana has done to me…?]

The sweetest of demons she is

So wretched, and all of His.

In the form of dragonflies

Fine, her skin.

The color of ocean eyes

Beautiful Ana, you are treachery

Despised by me

Yet, I stay

Because I find…

No reason to wander away

Beautifully done. You have captured what all fail to see of what Ana does to people. Even though she is not a physical being, the way she looks to us, causing our suffering, but also are mixed feelings of happiness.

Poetry is what is lost in translation.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
