Oh Little Mountain Dear

Oh little mountain dear,
Resting on the plain,
My heart's with a fountain,
Which I have to gain.

Oh little mountain dear,
I wish I was like you,
With the cool breeze running,
And dashing through your trees.

Your life is full of fun,
And I feel that it's a stun,
With the animals all around,
And the birds all on top.

I can feel the flower's fragrance,
Comming from you dear,
With the rains from above,
And the flowers from below.

I wish I was like you,
Oh my little mountain dear,
How I wish I was like you,
Oh my little mountain dear.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
