One Nation Under
Land of the Free
Home of the Brave
Is what we've always learned.
Now, Today, we hear the news
of Turmoil where ever we turn.
Stocks are down, Inflation up,
A home foreclosure stamplede.
People losing their livelihood
At Record Breaking speed.
Exceptions being the Wall Street Crowd
and Golden Parachute folk;
which Congress agreed to "Rescue"
to stop the spiraling slope.
A slope brought on by corruption,
by those Elected to Lead.
Thinking they'd keep the Oath they took,
Our Fundamental Creed:
One Nation, Under God
With Liberty and Justice for all.
Guess this was too much to believe
From those who have left us to fall.
