    Pain

    Let the pain rise to the surface
    From the edge of my blade
    Watch it take over my body
    As my eyes go to the back of my head
    And my face goes white as snow
    I hope you'll take a step back
    And look at what you caused
    I only wish to see your face
    When you see me in that coffin

    I hope you feel pain when you realize;
    YOU were the one that could've helped me
    You could have stoped it
    But now i lay here lifeless
    With my soul no where to be seen
    I wonder if you'll even realize i'm gone
    And that you'll never see me again

    When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
