paradox of fiction and fact

paradox of fiction and fact

His genuine love leads me to him

His warm heart takes me home

He paints my life with colors so bright

my life which was black and white

all gray and blind spots and what not

they all become things of the past

I hold him and I hold him not

I got him and I got him not

Is it an oxymoron fiction or fact

Somebody pinch me; slap me hard

I am happy and I am sad

My mixed feeling took an emotional toll

Don’t know how to stablize my soul

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
