    Perfect Temptation

her voice like cool evening sea breeze
pierces my soul like hot metal through plastic.

her breath is soft and cool as mint.

her smile is like warm early morning sun.

her body is carved to utmost accuracy
like a priceless work of sculpture.

her perfume and body smell make such
a fine blend that shortens my breath
and makes my heart work faster than normal with nostalgia.

her beauty unmatched like the picture
    of paradise.

her beauty, even Mona Lisa would envy.

to me she remains the PERFECT TEMPTATION.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
