    Pinky

    Did you hear about Pinky?
We lost him to the Mob,
(well, the Wakuza; they're linked now)
    He couldn't find a job.
    He was too small,
And had no head for numbers.
    It's tough times for all
    With the loss and claim-jumpers
    Piling up at the depots.
We had to cut him off,
    Because everyone knows
That bad folks are worse when the squeeze is on.
    Did you hear?
    Pinky is gone.

I don't quite follow this. I assume you're talking about the mob cutting of someone's pinky finger for not paying back a loan and referencing the bad economy...needs something to bring it together.

Poetry comes nearer to vital truth than history.

Plato (BC 427-BC 347) Greek philosopher.
