    Play me a tune

    Play me a tune
    That will clasp my feet
    To the beat
    Of its entwirling grasp

    Play me a tune
    To erase the gloom
That has set upon my aging face

    Play me a tune
    That will tickle my heart,
A weary heart in a desert of joy.

    Play me a tune
    To revive once more
    Those days
When like a gazelle I'd leap.

This time I long, not to leap
    But to fly,
    And glide o'er the place
Where at last I will rest.
    Then that tune I desire
Will no more be a tire,
For in my lair, I will need
    No more to admire.

very nice! the repititive line for each stanza is used impressively. However, at 25 you aren't even close (chronologically) to aging, except out of adolescence. write more!

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
