G. P. A. Dover hails originally from Guyana, South America. He started writing creatively at the age of 8, and was often an English teacher's favorite student. He won a government of Guyana academic scholarship at age 17, and studied Spanish and Naval Construction at Pepito Mendoza School of Language for Foreign Scholars and Aracelio Iglesias Diaz Naval Polytechnic, respectively, in Havana, Cuba. Here in the USA he earned a double BA in English and African American Studies from York College, CUNY, and an MFA in creative writing from Southampton College, LIU. G.P.A. Dover has published five books, including a collections of poetry: A Native Soul Transplanted. Recently he has been using his creative writing talent churning out popularly lauded lyrics for his musical group VOTSEE The Royal Pair, of which he a lead vocalist.
